Merrill Adventures at Holiday Park in Germany

In the picture below we are eating some little doughnuts from one of the little shops.

 We found a fun amusement park , about an hour from our house, it is called Holiday park.We got a year pass recently, so it has been fun to go there sometimes on the weekend with the kids and some of our friends who also have passes. There are lots of fun rides.

                       All over the kid area are these giant flowers etc it is kind of fun.

 My Favorite ride was these funny grasshoppers that went up and down all along the rail. I guess it makes you feel like a kid riding on a giant grasshopper among giant flowers, felt like we stepped in to and enchanted fairy forest. So fun, Brianna enjoyed this ride as well.

 Ok so maybe I loved the giant flower ride with Tanner too, the flowers go up and down and at the top they spray you with water so fun trying to not get sprayed. Tanner was laughing so hard it was cute. And again just something fun about riding in a giant flower through a kid wonderland.

 So this was a scary ride and yes I went on it with Paul. I think it is called sky drop. I was so scared and Paul was like come on lets go on it. So because I love him I went on it, and of coarse screamed all the way down it , scared me so much then it was over. Haha then after I was like that was not to bad. HaHa(not sure if  I would do it again, but it was a thrill to do it once with Paul)

 Of coarse in the middle of the day, we got the usual german rain, that always adds to the adventure.It was raining pretty good. Most people just put on rain coats and went on with the day, it was kind of funny. We got pretty wet but it was fun.

 This is us on the carousel , after we were all soaked from the rain. The kids loved the carousel ride and kept getting in line, to go again and again.

hello it's Katelyn Merrill. Are any of you familiar with the rainbow loom craft, I know Abby is she sent me some to learn. I really love making things.I have made so many I am almost out of rubber bands.I have made some really cute things.You girl cousins would love this craft if you have not already tried it. You should look it up and learn to do it,it is fun.Macey and Cambrie you guys would like it, have you ever made any of these crafts.Lucy if you like any of these I can make you one. Abby what fun things have you made. Sieena and Savannah you would like the little braclets I make.( sorry if i spelled your names wrong.) Once you have the looms you just have to keep getting rubber bands.My mom orders mine on ebay as they are really cheap,and none of the stores really have them.My mom lets me look at some you tube videos to learn how to make new animals and stuff, just type in rainbow loom animals etc.My brothers like the snakes I make for them. I am glad i can share my projects with you.-Katelyn

AUG.31st katelyns frist page(to all the Cousins)

Hello, cousins it's Katelyn Merrill how are you all? I have started school and I am in 4th grade and my teachers name is Mrs. Haugenberry and tanner is in 1st his  teachers  name is Mrs. Newbe. I love school. How are you all  doing in school? 
      I  learned a new craft this summer it is making things on the Rainbow loom, with little rubber bands. I love the rainbow loom and I have made lots of things I love to make snakes, and other animals. It is so fun. I took some pictures , hopfully i can put some on here.

 Katelyn and Tanner on the first day of school.They were waiting for bus, as they go to an american school on base.(we live in a little german village so they ride on a bus just for american kids)

 Katelyn wrote this herself except for the last part, she is really excited for all your kids to see her post and to write something. This is a fun way to help our kids get to know each other.I was proud of her for writing a post.(so please write the comments from your kids it would make her day)
